  • Loaded Indio Maple Neck
    with Locking Tuning Gears
    and Roller String Trees
    Description
    Up for sale is a
    lightly used Indio
    Cali Classic (strat
    style) maple neck.
    This neck has
    hardly been used
    and was only
    temporarily
    swapped from
    one body onto
    another.
    I’m only selling
    it because I
    need to take
    care of some
    financial
    obligations.
    The width of
    nut is about
    1 & 5/8″ wide
    while the width
    at the heel is
    about 2 & 3/16″
    wide and about
    13/16″ tall or deep
    (excluding the
    fretboard).
    There are some
    minor blemishes
    on the neck
    which are hardly
    noticeable;
    such as some
    marks located
    where the neck
    meets the body
    on either side of
    the neck at the
    heel pocket area
    and a small ding
    located right
    underneath the 5th
    string tuning gear,
    which appears to
    be a tool mark
    from a clumsy
    screwdriver.
    There’s also a
    line mark located
    just a bit past
    the nut on the
    high E string
    side which
    appears to be
    a factory
    cosmetic
    blemish of
    some sort.
    Six black in-line
    tuning gears and
    roller string trees
    were installed on
    this neck as an
    upgrade. Because
    the neck was
    swapped from
    one body onto
    another, the
    screw mounting
    holes may have
    enlarged a bit.
    They may have to
    be doweled up
    and redrilled for
    a new project.
    The frets appear
    to be medium
    jumbo sized.
    They feel pretty
    nice, but have not
    been properly
    dressed or polished.
    The truss rod has
    not been adjusted
    for a set up either.
    I can’t quite
    figure out what
    the radius on
    this fretboard is
    but my best guess
    would have to be
    between 12″ and
    14″ so it appears
    as though that
    this may very
    well be an oddball
    sized radius (i.e. 13″)
    but I could be wrong
    so don’t quote me
    on that. What I do
    know for sure is that
    it has a standard scale
    length of 25.5″
    Also note that
    the tuning gears
    may be slightly
    off as the mounting
    holes may have
    been drilled slightly
    crooked at the
    factory.
